The Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Danylo Hetmantsev, stated that Ukraine open to any meeting formats , if only peace would come. He said this in an interview News.LIVE .

The People's Deputy admitted that we are facing difficult compromises, not a quick return to the 1991 borders.

"There are definitely signs that the process is going in the right direction, that is, it is approaching peace. There are already signs of real demands from the Russian Federation, not imaginary ones, but real ones. They are in the US. And this creates a certain basis for agreements," he said.

Hetmantsev emphasized that now the most important task for the state is to ensure peace, but at the same time he called for no illusions:

"I would not advise citizens to count on us regaining the borders of 1991. This is unlikely to happen. These will be very difficult compromises. But they are extremely necessary and the future of the country depends on them."
