On the sidelines of the 93rd Interpol General Assembly, which is currently being held in Marrakech, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, spoke with the head of the United Nations police department, Under-Secretary-General for the Rule of Law, Faisal Shahkar.

During this interview, Faisal Shahkar expressed the UN Secretary-General's desire to strengthen cooperation and security partnership with the Moroccan National Security services, in order to consolidate and support the United Nations police forces, both at their headquarters in New York and in their peacekeeping missions in areas of tension around the world.

The official also stressed the importance of leveraging Moroccan police human resources in various UN missions, given their field experience, high level of qualification, and mastery of foreign languages, enabling them to be deployed and operate in many regions of the world.

This meeting is part of the bilateral meetings held by the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance with the heads of delegations of States and international and regional organizations participating in the 93rd session of the Interpol General Assembly, which continues until Thursday, November 27 in Marrakech.

These meetings aim to strengthen cooperation relations and consolidate security partnerships between Morocco and various regional and international partners, serving the challenges of global security and the fight against all forms of transnational crime.
