In the last few hours, authorities recorded that the 17-year-old who had turned himself in for his connection to the assassination attempt on Miguel Uribe Turbay, escaped from the special center in Bogotá where he was in custody. The Attorney General's Office condemned this situation, requested the adoption of urgent measures, and announced investigations.
" This office has initiated the corresponding investigations to establish responsibility for these events, the conditions of protection in which the adolescent was found, and asks the authorities to work to locate his whereabouts as soon as possible in order to protect the investigation," indicated the Public Ministry.
The minor was a key piece for the Prosecutor's Office and the Police, as he had shown his interest in continuing to give his versions in this case in which there are six people under prosecution, among them the young hitman of 15 years who shot the presidential candidate and senator on June 7 in the Modelia neighborhood, of the capital, during a political event with supporters.

Last week, the prosecution managed to reveal that the minor, who has not been traced, had been given the promise that he would submit to questioning to help clarify this case. According to his version, he was present at a meeting prior to the attack, where the logistics of its execution were discussed. The coordinator of this crime, it seems, is Elder José Arteaga, alias El Costeño, currently under strict custody in the Prosecutor's Office bunker.
In total, the prisoners are 'el Costeño', Katerine Martínez, Carlos Eduardo Mora, William Fernando González, Cristian Camilo González and the minor hitman, who is being held at the Prosecutor's Office with special Family Welfare measures due to his age.

The Attorney General's Office has charged these individuals with various crimes, including attempted murder, to which they have pleaded not guilty. The only one who had been cooperating with the authorities was not the young man who evaded authorities' control, but also the minor hitman and Katerine Martínez, known by the alias 'Gabriela'.
For this investigation, the Prosecutor's Office and the Police have deployed more than 250 agents, who are in charge of finding not only those who carried out this attack that has Miguel Uribe Turbay hospitalized in the ICU of the Santa Fe Clinic, but also those who determined it.

Authorities are focusing on the FARC dissidents, as information they have obtained from various sources leads them to hypothesize that this illegal group would be responsible. Specifically, the 'Second Marquetalia', commanded by alias Iván Márquez, who military intelligence has information about is in Venezuela along with other trusted men.
