The beginning of reading the articles of some weekly newspapers from “Al Watan Al Aan” and published that Morocco is now in a position to set the pace, build new balances, and lead solutions towards the ultimate goal, to turn the page on the fabricated conflict once and for all, and to establish the Moroccan identity of the Sahara in the international consciousness as it is established in the national conscience.
In the same context, Amal Benbrahim, Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra, stated that Morocco must translate its model into a gradual implementation plan based on establishing an integrated institutional system.
Abderrahmane Haddad, a research professor at Moulay Ismail University in Meknes, stated that Morocco is in the process of establishing a regional authority in the autonomous region that exercises broad decision-making and executive powers.
Haddad added that the autonomous region would have a fully integrated administrative and institutional structure, which raises the question of the necessary human resources. In this regard, the proposed autonomy plan stipulates that the head of the regional government has the authority to appoint the necessary staff to implement its functions.
Mohammed El-Bazzaz, professor of international law and international relations at Moulay Ismail University in Meknes, said that what distinguishes the autonomy proposal is that it responds to the principles on which the United Nations is based.
Mohammed Atif, a professor of international relations at Chouaib Doukkali University in El Jadida, stated that Algerian maneuvers are no longer able to obscure the fact of Morocco’s success in establishing the autonomy initiative.
“Al Watan Al Aan” also reported that the Federation of the Democratic Left organized a seminar at its headquarters in Casablanca to discuss and analyze the draft finance law for 2026. In his intervention during this seminar, economist Najib Akesbi considered that the growth indicators that the government is relying on, which it set at 4.6 percent, are unrealistic and exaggerated, especially in light of the absence of tangible indicators of improvement in agricultural production on which those assumptions were based.
Aqsabi explained that the government is talking about an agricultural production of 70 million quintals, while we are in November and there are no signs of a good agricultural season yet, adding that these figures need to be radically reconsidered.
Mohammed Nadir, an official at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, stated that the issue of wealth redistribution represents a major challenge, especially with the increasing wealth of the rich and the worsening poverty among vulnerable groups.
Naderi stressed that there is an urgent need to consider new financing mechanisms, such as imposing taxes on large fortunes, to ensure sustainable development and achieve economic justice.
The same framework concluded that the draft budget law for next year generally reflects the continuation of previous policies with some new directions; however, it needs to reconsider the basic assumptions related to growth, in order to ensure realistic and tangible results on the ground.
The “Al-Usbu’ Al-Sahafi” newspaper reported that the city of Chefchaouen is witnessing a widespread wave of criticism from residents and visitors, due to what they described as haphazard renovations that affected a number of the city’s streets and alleys, considering that they have harmed the beauty of the blue city, which is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Morocco.
According to the same source, a number of local stakeholders confirmed that these works were carried out without prior study or careful technical supervision, which led to adverse results, noting that the weak coordination between the concerned authorities and the absence of technical monitoring contributed to worsening the situation.
Residents and civil society actors are demanding an investigation into how these works were managed, a review of the completion standards, and the involvement of experts and engineers specializing in restoration to preserve the city’s architectural identity so that Chefchaouen remains a charming tourist destination that reflects its history and authenticity.
In another report, the same newspaper stated that bridge projects lacking technical standards are increasing the suffering of a number of villages belonging to the rural commune of Amzfroun in the province of Ouezzane.
According to “Al-Usbu’ Al-Sahafi” (The Weekly Press), a number of citizens and local observers expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of accurate technical studies before the implementation of these projects, pointing out that what is built on a mistake will not serve the public interest; rather, it will increase the suffering of the residents instead of alleviating it.
These citizens called on the responsible authorities to reassess the ongoing works and hold accountable all those who caused this technical malfunction that could turn these projects into a source of danger instead of a means of protection.
“Al-Usbu’ Al-Sahafi” also pointed out the suffering of students with transportation to the multi-disciplinary college in Larache, due to urban transport problems; which threatens their university studies and drains their pockets on a daily basis.
The report added that despite knocking on the doors of the community and the local authority to urge the urban transport company to put in place solutions that would have positive effects on the residents and students in particular, by providing buses near the residential communities and neighborhoods from which the students come and which are far away from the college, these meetings did not result in anything and did not reach a solution to the crisis.
And with the same media platform that reported that the residents of the southern Kzennaya community, Aknoul district, which belongs to the Taza region, broke their silence, rejecting the continued policy of neglect and marginalization by the aforementioned territorial council and local authorities.
Residents are demanding the improvement and repair of the Bouhdoud road section on National Route 29, located between the commune of Ajbarna and the city of Aknoul, extending to the Bouhdoud El Oulia sub-district and passing through the Bouhdoud El Soufla roundabout, which connects the communes of Kzennaya and Beni Fath. Those affected indicated that they had previously submitted numerous complaints regarding this matter; however, the situation has not improved, and residents continue to face difficulties in transportation due to the deteriorated condition of the road.
