Hegseth announces"peace through strength" in Ukraine
During Wednesday's meeting of NATO defense ministers, Pete Hegseth argued that if Russia does not end the war in Ukraine, NATO countries"will take the necessary steps to make it pay the costs".
"If we have to take that step, the U.S. War Department is ready to contribute in a way that only the United States can," he said.
Hegseth argued that although the war did not begin during Donald Trump's presidency, it will end during his term."Let's seize this moment, let's decisively build peace in Ukraine and establish peace through force," the Minister of War declared.
