The IDF statement said that about 30 Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck dozens of military sites across Iran, including the Imam Hussein Strategic Missile Command Center in the Yazd region of central Iran, where the long-range Khorramshahr missiles were stored.
The statement also confirmed strikes on missile launchers in Bushehr province, where Iranian media reported a large explosion earlier in the day, as well as in Ahvaz in the southwest and in central Isfahan. Isfahan is home to a uranium enrichment plant that was attacked by the US overnight.
The military statement said that Israeli fighter jets also attacked a UAV control center and air defense facilities.
Military spokeswoman Effie Defrin vowed that Israel would not stop its offensive against Iran despite the US overnight strikes.
In previous statements, the Israeli army said it had attacked targets in western Iran and also destroyed two outdated F-5 fighter jets from the 1960s or 1970s at Dezful airport in the west of the country.
Israel claims to have destroyed more than half of Iran's missile launchers in an attempt to stop daily shelling from the Islamic Republic.
As Ukrinform reported, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Sunday that during the latest attack on Israel at least 27 ballistic missiles were launched from Iranian territory.
According to the latest military data, since Israel's attack on Iran on June 13, 24 people have been killed in Israel and 1,272 people have been injured, 14 of them seriously.
