Rheinmetall delivers the anti-aircraft system"Skyranger 35" to Ukraine

The German company "Rheinmetall" has signed a contract for the delivery of anti-aircraft systems "Skyranger 35" (skyranger 35) on the chassis of the tank "Leopard 1" to Ukraine, the company announced.

The general director of the company, Armin Paperger, said that he was grateful to Ukraine for the trust shown and highlighted the support of an EU member state that finances the purchase from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets, Ukrinform reported. The value of the contract is estimated at hundreds of millions of euros, it was stated in the announcement.

According to the manufacturer, the"Skyranger 35" based on the "Leopard 1" combines mobility and protection of the platform with a cannon anti-aircraft system. The system has a rate of fire of up to 1,000 rounds per minute and an effective range of up to four kilometers.

Svantesson: The EU must continue working on the use of frozen Russian assets for Ukraine

Swedish Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson said today that the European Union must continue working on proposals for the distribution of frozen assets of the Russian central bank to Ukraine, given, as she stated, the lack of other options.
