Tuesday, June 3

The SBU reported that the underwater part of the bridge's supports was blown up at 4:44 a.m. local time today.

The explosion power is equivalent to 1,100 kg of TNT.

According to the SBU, the bridge structure at the bottom was severely damaged and is in an emergency condition.

The SBU also shared a video showing the explosion.

It is noted that the operation was prepared for several months, and there were no civilian casualties.

"The Crimean Bridge is a completely legitimate target, especially considering that the enemy used it as a logistical artery to supply its forces. Crimea is Ukraine, and any manifestations of occupation will be met with our strict response," says SBU head Vasyl Maliuk.

Russian publications reported earlier on Tuesday that the bridge was closed, but did not say why.

There were reports that the attack was continuing.

Rybar, a Telegram channel close to the Russian Defense Ministry, claims that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) probably did not mine the bridge, but hit it with an underwater vehicle.

The Telegram channel"ČP/Krym", citing military surveillance channels, claims that the assault on the bridge is continuing.

At around 3:30 p.m., the bridge’s Telegram channel again reported that traffic was temporarily closed. At the same time, monitoring and Russian pro-military Telegram channels began reporting on a further attack on the bridge. “They are breaking through the [Bonn] barriers,” one of the channels reported.

The Russian military did not comment on the situation.

Delfi reminds that on June 1, the Ukrainian Security Service conducted a unique Operation"Spiderweb", during which four military airfields in the Russian hinterland were simultaneously struck.

According to the head of the security service, Vasyl Maliuk, drones hit 41 warplanes, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22 M3 and Tu-160 aircraft. This means that 34 percent of strategic cruise missile carriers at Russia's main airfields were hit.

Russia attacked the city of Sumy on Tuesday, killing three people, Ukraine said. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the Russian strike on civilians in Sumy was a clear sign of Russia's so-called"desire" to end the war.

"The Russians carried out a brutal strike on Sumy, directly targeting the city and its streets with rocket artillery. This was a completely deliberate attack on civilians. A rescue operation is currently underway. Many people have been injured. Three deaths have been confirmed so far," Zelensky said on his Telegram channel.
