Delfi recalls that Israel attacked the building of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) on Monday, which immediately interrupted its live broadcast after the strike. The explosion occurred while the presenter was criticizing Israel on live air.

The attack on Iranian state television came immediately after a threat from Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz.

He declared before the strike that Iran's state television and radio would"disappear soon."

"The megaphone of Iranian propaganda and incitement will soon disappear. The evacuation of nearby residents has begun," he said. The headquarters of Iran's state broadcaster IRIB is in the evacuation zone.
