Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, TASS reported. However, according to him, conditions must be created for such contact. Putin said this in a conversation with journalists after a meeting in the Kremlin with the leader of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"I have said many times that in principle I have nothing against it, it is possible," Putin noted."But for this to happen, certain conditions must be created. Unfortunately, we are still far from creating such conditions," he added.

The Kremlin has repeatedly emphasized that the Russian side is ready for a meeting between Putin and Zelensky, but that a lot of preparatory work needs to be done for this.

Earlier, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that the United States had raised the possibility of a trilateral meeting between Putin, Zelensky and US leader Donald Trump. However, Moscow has not commented on this idea and has called for attention to be focused on a bilateral meeting between Russia and the United States.
