The price of supplies via the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline will be lower than for EU countries. This was announced by Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller, TASS reports.
He did not disclose the price itself, stating that commercial issues would be considered separately.
Miller also added that the agreement on gas supplies via Power of Siberia 2 is calculated for 30 years.
On September 2, the Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee reported that Gazprom and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed a memorandum on the construction of the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline. An agreement was also signed to increase supplies via the Power of Siberia from 38 to 44 billion cubic meters per year.
As Miller explained to journalists, the gas pipeline will be the largest, most extensive and most capital-intensive gas project in the world, and that is why its implementation could not involve quick decision-making.
