Anti-government protests continued across Serbia, with violent clashes between demonstrators and police in several cities on Friday evening. According to the Guardian, tear gas was used in Belgrade to disperse the demonstration. In a televised address on Friday evening, Aleksandar Vučić stated:
The Serbian state is stronger than any protest.
He praised the actions of the police, while describing the protests as desperate attempts on state TV.

“All forms of violence are unacceptable and will only lead to greater suffering and division,” warned Belgrade Archbishop László Német, who called for peace in Serbia. He added:
“I believe that Serbia has a chance for renewal if it rejects hatred and acts for peace and humanity. I say to everyone: now we need consistency, wisdom and respect for each other for the future of our country.”
