"All the talk is about what Ukraine should give up and what Ukraine is ready to concede.

"Meanwhile, we forget that Russia has not conceded on any issue," Kallas points out.

"If we fall into this trap, if we put pressure on Ukraine to make concessions, then this situation will repeat itself, because aggression will be rewarded," believes Kallas.

In her opinion, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin"achieved everything he wanted" from the Alaska summit: he was received with honors, and the White House did not impose new sanctions.

Kallas also commented on the talks on security guarantees for Ukraine. According to her, there are few clear steps at this stage.

Following talks in Washington involving Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders, several countries are preparing a proposal on what security guarantees Kiev could receive. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has already said that the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine is unacceptable to Moscow.
