They recalled that this cooperation is in perfect harmony with the Declaration of Enhanced Exceptional Partnership, signed by King Mohammed VI and Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, during the State Visit of October 2024.
Regarding the issue of migration, the two ministers emphasized the positive role played by the Moroccan-French Permanent Joint Migration Group (GMMP), which is the appropriate mechanism for dialogue and coordination on migration issues.

The two ministers then examined ways to further strengthen channels for the exchange of expertise and information in order to maintain a dynamic capable of constructively addressing the multiple threats, particularly those related to the activities of terrorist groups and criminal networks, especially in the Sahel-Saharan region, the statement concluded.
