The Prime Ministers of Denmark and the Netherlands reiterated the need to increase pressure on Russia

The prime ministers of Denmark and the Netherlands, Mette Frederiksen and Dick Schoff, reiterated today at the press conference held in London after the summit of the Coalition of the Willing in London the need to increase pressure on Russia.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that Russian President Vladimir Putin called US President Donald Trump"because he was afraid that Ukraine might gain an advantage", but he rejected the ceasefire proposal that Ukraine accepted, reports Sky News.

"But Putin does not want to stop the killing. There are no indications that Russia and Putin want peace, not even a ceasefire," she pointed out.

The Danish Prime Minister repeated the message of her colleagues that it is necessary to increase the pressure on Russia, continue to find ways to finance Ukraine's defense efforts and continue to weaken the Russian economy.

"I think we took significant steps this week," Frederiksen added.

The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Schoof, said that the goal of all meetings of the Coalition of the Willing is peace, and that in order to achieve that goal, it is necessary to enable Ukraine to continue fighting. He said that Russia is the only party that refuses the truce and that the only way to change that is to increase the pressure.

Schoff stated that the Netherlands will take its share of responsibility to prevent Russia from operating its shadow fleet in the North Sea. He said that attacks on Ukraine's energy system are particularly worrying and promised additional support aimed at strengthening capacities in that area.

A summit of the Coalition of the Willing was held in London, attended by new members, including an additional 20 countries that will join the joint call for greater international cooperation and support for Ukraine.

Three Ukrainians sentenced in Poland for sabotage and fires linked to Russia

A court in Poland sentenced three Ukrainian citizens to prison today for their role in a series of large fires in Poland and the Baltic states, as part of an investigation into sabotage that Warsaw claims was organized by Russia.

"All three defendants were found guilty of participating, in different periods between 2023 and 2024, in an organized group that operated in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine and Russia, with the aim of committing acts of sabotage and terrorism," the prosecution announced, according to Reuters.

According to the verdict, the accused acted jointly and in coordination with other persons against whom the investigation is still ongoing

Polish officials have previously said the country is the target of acts of sabotage that are part of Moscow's"hybrid war" aimed at destabilizing states that support Ukraine, which also includes arson and cyber attacks.

Zelensky asked the coalition of the willing for long-range weapons

Today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Ukraine's allies, members of the"Coalition of the Willing", to improve Ukraine's long-range weapons capabilities in order to put pressure on Russia to negotiate an end to the war.

Zelensky said at a meeting of the"Coalition of the Willing" in London that Ukraine is using its own weapons to attack energy and military facilities deep in Russian territory and is seeking long-range Tomahawk missiles from the United States to increase pressure on Moscow, although it has not yet received them.

"As soon as (Russian President Vladimir) Putin felt the pressure and the possibility of a "tomahawk" appearing in Ukraine, he immediately expressed his willingness to restart talks," Zelensky said, Reuters reported.

A meeting of the"Coalition of the Willing" is being held in London, where new members are also present, including an additional 20 countries that will join the joint call for greater international cooperation and support for Ukraine.
