US President Donald Trump stated that he has reached the end of his patience with Russian President Vladimir Putin and gave the message that heavy sanctions could be on the agenda due to the Ukraine war.

‘MY PATIENCE IS RUNNING OUT’

Trump, speaking on Fox News, said,"I'm running out of patience, and I'm running out very fast. But this is a two-way street. When Putin wanted it, Zelenskyy didn't want it. When Zelenskyy wanted it, Putin didn't want it. Now, Zelenskyy wants it, but Putin is still a big question mark. We're going to have to take very, very drastic action."

‘KYIV MUST MAKE CONCESSIONS’

Trump also emphasized that the parties were avoiding compromise, implying that Kiev would also need to make concessions for peace to be achieved.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Putin still wants to occupy all of Ukraine after Washington's efforts to stop Russian attacks proved inadequate.

"Putin's goal is to occupy all of Ukraine. And no matter what he says to anyone, it's clear that he has so mobilized the war machine that he cannot stop it unless he is forced to fundamentally change his personal goals," Zelenskyy said at a conference in Kyiv.
