Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a joint press conference with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hüseyin. Highlights from Minister Fidan's statements are as follows:  Oil shipments from Iraq have resumed. The first phase of the peace plan in Gaza has been completed. It is important that there are no provocations from Israel.

These were the issues reached as a result of negotiations. The key elements of the first-stage plan include its implementation, God willing, without any problems, the commencement of humanitarian aid, the movement of displaced people to their locations, and the withdrawal of Israeli troops back to the agreed-upon locations marked on the map. Implementing this is of paramount importance. What can we do now as the international community? There are two points we are focusing on. First, it is crucial that this agreement proceeds without incident. It is crucial, in particular, that there be no provocation from Israel, and nothing that would restart the war, perpetuate the genocide, or perpetuate displacement. To this end, as Turkey, we are providing technical support to the implementation of the agreement in the field, while also continuing to raise awareness at the global strategic level and mobilize international diplomatic efforts. Our efforts in this direction are of paramount importance.

"OUR PRIORITY IS THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STAGES IN GAZA"

Secondly, as this first phase is being implemented, it is crucial that the next phases proceed smoothly, that new horizons are reached, and that the process does not stall. Because stalling the process, God forbid, would mean a return to massacres. To prevent this, we must come together with the international community, our stakeholders in the region, and our brothers and sisters to determine what needs to be done in the next phases until we reach a two-state solution. Of course, our priority right now is the implementation of the phases in Gaza. The first phase involves a ceasefire, hostages, and humanitarian aid. The second phase then involves the administration of Gaza, and a process awaits us, including issues such as restoring security and order within the country. This is a matter that requires our constant attention and focus. God willing, as we have done so far, we will continue to manage and execute this process with the utmost care and meticulousness.

'ACTIVISTS WERE BROUGHT IN WITHOUT PROBLEM'

We also rescued our brothers and sisters on the Freedom Flotilla during their evacuation. We were able to evacuate all our citizens, including three members of parliament, without anyone getting hurt. Of course, this effort Türkiye has made isn't just for our citizens, and our President values all activists equally in this regard. He was extremely meticulous and sensitive about the evacuation of not only Turks but also foreigners. In this regard, we evacuated half of the Turkish activists and 76 activists from 21 countries in the second operation conducted today. Thankfully, no citizen or activist has been left behind. There are a few individuals from certain nationalities whose procedures are currently ongoing due to certain issues, but overall, we have achieved our goals in this regard. Hopefully, their noble actions will also achieve their goal, and this genocide will be stopped.

But I repeat, there's been a tremendous amount of effort here. I extend my sincere gratitude to all our colleagues who contributed. In other words, retrieving the activists detained by Israel was a significant operation. I also extend my sincere gratitude to Turkish Airlines. They cooperate with us exceptionally well. Whenever we need them, we immediately dispatch a servant without hesitation. We also extend our sincere thanks to them here.
