The High Prosecutor's Office of the Region of Murcia will initiate an investigation this Tuesday to study whether there are indications of a crime in the public statements made by the regional president of Vox, José Ángel Antelo, in relation to the altercations in Torre Pacheco.

The Prosecutor's Office, according to a statement, will extend this investigation to other posts made on various social media platforms.

This is an action derived from the complaints received by the Public Prosecutor's Office from PSOE, Izquierda Unida and Podemos, clarifies the Superior Prosecutor's Office.

José Ángel Antelo, in a press conference held this Tuesday minutes before the fiscal investigation against him was known, said that"telling the truth will never be a hate crime", and pointed out that he has already been reported on previous occasions for similar reasons, without success.

After reiterating that"Vox never calls for violence against anyone," he pointed out that it is Santiago Abascal's party that has suffered violent attacks and threats, despite which, he said, polls now place it as the second political force in the Region of Murcia and the one with the greatest growth in this autonomous community.

Immigration and insecurity

Last Saturday, Antelo participated in Torre Pacheco in the event Defend yourself against insecurity with the provincial party team, where he launched a firm message against illegal immigration and the insecurity generated by the two-party system's policies.

The Vox leader in the region recalled that it has just been a year since he left the vice presidency of the regional government"for refusing to continue funding illegal immigration and continuing to be complicit in the extremely serious problems it is causing in our neighborhoods and throughout society."

"That day, we made it clear to the Popular Party that Vox would never collaborate with illegal immigration and that where Vox governs, illegal immigrants are not funded. We left that government because, for us, this is non-negotiable: it is a vital and core issue for the Region of Murcia and for all of Spain," he stated.

He noted that the warnings his party made at the time"are coming true," given how the illegal immigration financed by the PSOE and PP "is the same type of immigration that attacks our elderly in the streets, that attacks homosexuals, that rapes our daughters."

"We don't want people like that on our streets or in our country. We're going to deport them all: not a single one will remain. People come to Spain to work and generate wealth, not to commit crimes or spread terror," he stressed.

According to him, Torre Pacheco is at risk of becoming the Molenbeek of the Region of Murcia because of the two-party system's policies."Enough of creating a drama in our seas and in our neighborhoods. Vox is going to end illegal immigration. Give your support to Santiago Abascal and we will give you back a decent Spain, a Spain without illegal immigration, where the elderly can walk around in peace, women without fear, and homosexuals without being attacked by those who do not respect our culture."
