The occupation army forces bombed the cities of Khan Yunis and Gaza at dawn on Friday, despite the announcement of a ceasefire agreement.

The Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) reported that Israeli forces shelled the Al-Katiba area in the center of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, with several artillery shells, coinciding with the flight of a drone over the city.

She added that Israeli warplanes launched a violent airstrike in the center of Khan Yunis at dawn.

East Gaza City also witnessed an Israeli airstrike, artillery shelling, and helicopter gunship fire.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office announced that the government has formally approved US President Donald Trump's proposal to end the war in Gaza.

It's worth noting that US President Donald Trump announced Thursday night that an agreement had been reached to implement the first phase of his Middle East peace plan, which calls for an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, the withdrawal of the Israeli military from the Strip, the entry of humanitarian aid, and a prisoner exchange.

Since October 7, 2023, the occupying forces have perpetrated genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of more than 67,000 citizens, the injury of approximately 170,000 others, most of them children and women, and a famine that claimed the lives of 460 citizens, including 154 children.
