247 - President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) made new criticisms of Donald Trump this Wednesday (25), comparing him to former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). Lula suggested that the former US leader should be"more head of state and less internet"."In this troubled world, the world in which you have the president of the United States, who should fight for his speech, should think about what to say, should be less internet and more head of state, should think more about free trade, multilateralism, should think much more about peace", said Lula.

Lula's criticism came after Trump, via social media, announced on Monday (23) a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, after 12 days of intense aerial firefights. The Brazilian president also took the opportunity to criticize the media, saying that what matters to them are"shady interests."

"What do we see every single day in the press? The need for a damn headline. We've had a president like that before, and you know we've had one. In other words, what matters least is the truth. What matters least is the country's interests. What matters most are shady interests," said Lula in a veiled reference to Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

Furthermore, when commenting on the war in the Middle East, Lula stated that he preferred to"stay away" from the conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv."I don't want trouble in my life. I'm for peace, I don't want war," he concluded.
