Cambodia agrees to the proposal for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire with Thailand, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said on social media.

On the evening of July 26, US President Donald Trump said he had spoken with the leaders of Thailand and Cambodia, which entered into armed conflict this week. According to Trump, the parties expressed their desire to cease fire.

I have made it clear to the Honorable President Donald Trump that Cambodia agrees to the proposal for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire between the two armed forces,” Manet wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta, an organization recognized as extremist and banned in Russia).

He noted that he also agreed with Malaysia's earlier proposal for a ceasefire.

According to the prime minister, after speaking with Acting Prime Minister of Thailand Phumtham Vechayachai, Trump informed him that the Thai side had also agreed to the proposal for an immediate ceasefire. Manet expressed hope that Thailand would not change its position.
