The PKK terrorist organization, which has been carrying out armed attacks against Turkey for 40 years, burned its weapons yesterday in a symbolic ceremony held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's historic"Turkey Without Terrorism" speech at his party's 32nd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting in Kızılcahamam was closely followed by the world press.

The French RFI news agency quoted President Erdoğan as saying,"Türkiye won, 86 million citizens won," detailing the PKK's symbolic arms laying down ceremony and Türkiye's strategy for the future.

The Italian Quotidiano Nazionale, on the other hand, wrote that President Erdoğan, in his speech, stated that Turkey saw this process as a victory and that an important gain had been achieved after many years.

Lebanon-based LBCI Lebanon reported that President Erdoğan said that"a new page has opened" for Türkiye after the PKK's weapons surrender process began.

Iran-based Mehr News Agency also announced that President Erdoğan welcomed the PKK's disarmament process as"an important step towards ending terrorism."

US-based FOX 59 television also reported that President Erdoğan emphasized that the start of the terrorist organization PKK's disarmament process was a historic step towards peace and stability.

The Greece-based Protothema newspaper reported President Erdoğan's statements to its readers under the headline"The doors of a new era have opened in Turkey."

Another Greek newspaper, Kathimerini, described President Erdoğan's statements and the PKK terrorist organization's disarmament as"a historic threshold for Türkiye."

Dubai-based Al Arabiya also quoted President Erdoğan's statements, stating that Türkiye is going through a historic process.
