Tonight Russia inflicted a massive combined strike that lasted almost ten hours. The enemy used 18 missiles, including ballistic ones, and about 400 strike drones, of which almost 200 were"Shaheeds". This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Telegram .

According to him, the main target of the attack was Kyiv and the region, with Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, and Kharkiv regions also under attack.

"Unfortunately, it is known about two people who died in Kyiv. My condolences to the families and friends of the deceased. As of now, 16 people are known to have been injured," the president said.

Zelensky stressed that this is an obvious escalation of terror by Russia, because every night there are hundreds of"shaheeds", constant strikes, and massive attacks against Ukrainian cities.

"This means that acceleration is needed. We need to be faster with sanctions and put pressure on Russia so that they feel the consequences of their terror. Partners need to be faster with investments in weapons production and technology development," he said.

Zelenskyy announced that today he will talk with partners within the"coalition of the willing" about additional funding for the production of interceptor drones and the supply of air defense systems for Ukraine.

"Such Russian attacks must be responded to harshly. That is exactly how we will respond," the president emphasized.
