Attack on nuclear facilities: Expensive and unique: This is the B-2 bomber

In Operation Midnight Hammer against Iranian nuclear facilities, the US deployed seven B-2 stealth bombers. It is the largest operation of its kind in US history, said Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine to reporters in Washington on Sunday. It was the first combat use of the massive GBU-57 bunker-busting bombs.

The B-2 stealth bombers played a key role in the operation. Only they are capable of transporting the almost 14-ton GBU-57 bombs. They are also built to be difficult for radar to detect. Their range without refueling is approximately 9,600 kilometers. This makes the B-2 unique.
