Jair Bolsonaro's (PL) defense filed a motion for clarification on Tuesday, the 22nd, as part of a motion for clarification, regarding the restrictions imposed on the former president by Justice Alexandre de Moraes—upheld by the majority of the 1st Panel of the Supreme Federal Court. The lawyers claim that the former president"never considered that he was prohibited from giving interviews" and emphasize that he "will not make any statement" until the restrictions on his ability to give interviews are clarified.
The petition is signed by attorneys Paulo Amador da Cunha Bueno, Celso Sanchez Vilardi, and Daniel Bettamio Tesser. They argue that Bolsonaro did not violate Moraes's orders and never intended to do so,"so much so that he has been strictly observing the imposed collection rules."
“At no time and in no way, as far as it was understood, was the appellant prohibited from giving interviews, which, in fact, is not in line with national jurisprudence.”
