Russian President Vladimir Putin 's proposal to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Moscow is unacceptable, the Ukrainian government announced today.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiha said that at least seven countries, including Austria, the Vatican, Switzerland and three Gulf countries, are ready to host such a meeting.

These are serious proposals and President Zelensky is ready for similar meetings at any time, he wrote in a post on X. However, Putin continues to mess with everyone by making knowingly unacceptable proposals.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin expressed his satisfaction with the work of the Russian negotiators and especially with the head of the Russian delegation, Kremlin advisor Vladimir Medinsky, adding that Russia is ready for consultations at a higher level if necessary.

"If common sense prevails, then we can agree on an acceptable way to end the conflict. Otherwise, we will be forced to solve the problem by military means," the Russian president said characteristically.

Putin argued that Russia is not fighting for Ukrainian territory, but for people's rights, while he reiterated that he is opposed to the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO.

He commented that if Ukraine wants to make progress, it should lift martial law, hold elections, and hold a referendum on territorial issues.
