247 - US President Donald Trump posted a video generated by artificial intelligence on his Truth Social network on Saturday (18). In the images, he appears in a plane named King Trump (“King Trump”, in Portuguese) dumping feces on protesters gathered in Times Square, in New York.
The scene was released just hours after thousands of people took to the streets in several cities across the country protesting the government's policies. In the video, Trump wears a crown, a reference to the jet's nickname, and brown debris falls directly onto the protesters.
"No Kings" Demonstrations
The demonstrations were part of the second round of demonstrations known as No Kings. The campaign aims to repudiate what organizers call the American president's"authoritarian" agenda.
In addition to symbolic criticism of the concentration of power around Trump, protesters also raised objections to his immigration policies, education measures, and security proposals, which, according to participants, are leading the United States toward autocracy.
Protest History
The first edition of the No Kings rallies took place on June 14, Donald Trump's birthday. Thousands of Americans mobilized across several states while the president celebrated in Washington, D.C., with a military parade marking the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.
