US President Donald Trump was asked why he repeatedly expressed his disappointment and dissatisfaction with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, but never took any action to force him to stop the war with Ukraine. He writes about this Clash Report .

"How do you know there was no action? The imposition of secondary sanctions against India, the largest buyer of Russian oil, excluding China - they are almost equal - you do not consider sanctions? It costs Russia hundreds of billions of dollars. You call this a lack of action? And I have not yet moved on to the second and third phases. But when you say there is no action, I think you should find yourself a new job. Because if you remember, two weeks ago I said: 'If India buys, it will have big problems.' And that is exactly what happened," he said.

Trump said he had no statements for Putin, noting:

"He knows my position. He has to make a decision. I'll either be happy or I won't. If not, there will be consequences."

The President said that he would have a telephone conversation with Putin in the near future.

"I will talk to him very soon and then I will know exactly what we will do. As you know, we have taken very tough measures. But I will talk to him in the coming days and we will see what happens. I will know exactly what is happening. I am not happy with all these people," he added.

Trump stressed that he has good relations with the leaders of China, North Korea, and Russia, but"how good they are will become clear in the coming weeks."

Trump's position on Putin

Earlier, media outlets, citing the Elysee Palace, reported that French President Emmanuel Macron, Zelensky, and other European leaders will have a phone conversation with Trump tomorrow.

Zelensky intends to clarify with Trump in the near future, when the 2-3 weeks he gave Putin in August to achieve progress in peace negotiations with Ukraine are ending.
