Femicide Case - Aurora Tila

A nightmare on Halloween night: they took away his phone, locked him in the bathroom, and tortured him for two hours. Then they forced him to undress and get into the water. His mother raised the alarm. Two boys and a girl, aged 14, 15, and 16, are under investigation.

When I saw it, it was a shock. The mother of a 15-year-old boy, tortured by a gang on Halloween night, can't stop thinking about the nightmare her son went through. And she repeats: I just want justice. In the meantime, the alleged perpetrators have been identified by the Carabinieri: they are three minors, two boys and a girl, aged 14, 15, and 16 respectively , already accused in the past of vandalism and damage. The victim is said to suffer from attention deficit and learning disabilities.

They took away his phone and tortured him for two hours.

According to the complaint filed with the Carabinieri, the fifteen-year-old was allegedly convinced by a schoolmate not to go to his grandfather's house on the evening of October 31st and to follow him to an apartment where there were no adults present, together with a boy and a girl. The victim's mother recounts that her son and his partner left from a town in the outskirts of Turin, and then the nightmare began: They took him to a house in Turin where there were no adults present, and they took away his phone. They blocked our parents' numbers, and then these monsters tortured and beat him for two hours, locking him in the bathroom.

They forced him to undress and enter the water

The nightmare had just begun: They threatened him with a screwdriver and shaved him, leaving only a few tufts of hair. Then they took a razor blade and shaved his eyebrows, making cuts on his eyelid. And they put out a cigarette on his ankle . The boy was unable to resist:"They took advantage of his fragility," his mother repeats."Still under threat of the screwdriver, they took him towards the river. Based on the version provided by the fifteen-year-old who said he saw tram 4 pass by, the police believe it was the Dora : They made him take off his shirt, leaving him bare-chested and making him enter the water. Not satisfied, they had him placed under a fountain, with the jet on his back, amid spitting and various insults. After that they took him home until 1pm and then, after finishing torturing him, they took him back to the Porta Nuova station and gave him back his phone.

The mother: They pretended to be his friends

His mother finally managed to contact him: I was heartened, but when I saw him it was terrible. But where are his parents? Why do they give a boy who lives in a residential care home the keys to a place where there are no adults? Why all this cruelty towards a weak boy? They lured him by pretending to be friends and he was happy. I knew he was supposed to go to his grandfather and only the next morning did I discover that he had never arrived home. My heart stopped. I thank God that my son is alive, but in my heart I have so much anger and pain.

The schoolmate and the accommodation near the Dora

Investigators began working to identify the perpetrators of the violence. They started from two elements: the presence of a schoolmate and the accommodation near the Dora River (although the fifteen-year-old had initially mentioned the Po River). Based on the descriptions provided, investigators concluded that it could be a gang already known to law enforcement and previously involved in other acts of bullying.

They climbed onto a bridge and spat on the boy

In his story, the young victim also said that the three tormentors, after convincing him to enter the Dora , climbed onto a bridge to spit on him from above, laughing heartily. A tram also passed over that bridge, most likely the number 4, another piece of evidence that could help narrow down the search. Finally, the telephone cells connected to the boy's cell phone should help identify the house of horrors.

The suspicion of a torture video

Yesterday evening, Sunday, November 2, news also spread that the three boys may have also filmed a torture video that documents abuse far worse than what was reported. This is something that is not mentioned in the complaint and has yet to be verified.

The investigation into kidnapping and domestic violence

The Turin Juvenile Prosecutor's Office has meanwhile opened an investigation. The suspects are three minors, two boys and a girl, aged 14, 15, and 16 respectively, who have previously been charged with vandalism and property damage. They are a schoolmate who lives in the same municipality as the victim, a friend who is a year younger, and a sixteen-year-old girl who, however, is said to have played a minor role. They are believed to be members of a baby gang that has already made a name for itself in the village bordering Turin and is known to law enforcement. The Carabinieri have seized their cell phones. The three youths have not yet been interviewed by investigators. Investigators want to understand whether they also filmed a video of the torture and whether the chats contain any traces of what happened on the night between October 31st and November 1st. The three boys could be charged with domestic violence, kidnapping, and, if sexual abuse is also confirmed (which, however, is not mentioned in the complaint filed by the family), sexual assault.
