US President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran is ready to negotiate and that he has called on Tehran to come to the negotiating table “before it is too late”.

"They want to negotiate, but they should have said so before. I believe Iran is not winning this war and that it should negotiate immediately, before it is too late," Trump said.

The US President recalled that he has always supported Israel.

"We have been very supportive of them for a long time. And Israel is doing very well right now," the US leader added.

When asked by reporters whether the United States would become militarily involved in this conflict, Trump ignored the question.

"I don't want to talk about it," the US President simply said.
