Ukrainian Military Operations and Attacks

Ukraine is ready to open arms export abroad in the future. Nevertheless, some types of weapons are also very necessary for our country. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, answering a question from an UNIAN correspondent.

"We can't afford to export all the weapons, to be honest. Some weapons are very important to us. We are ready to work with naval drones, we have more of them than we use... We definitely have twice as many of them as we use. We also, in my opinion, have other weapons, there are artillery systems, although there aren't many of them, to be honest, but we are producing a lot of them now... We see export potential in this, but we need a budget for this," he said.

According to Zelensky, it would be fair if partners financed 100% of the production of some scarce weapons in Ukraine, and the weapons already produced were divided in half. He noted that there are individual countries that are ready to eventually transfer their half to Ukraine.

"That is, there are such loyal relations that they simply believe in Ukraine and are worried. But, of course, we understand that this will be their half," the president explained.

Ukraine will not be able to open direct arms exports in war conditions - what is known

Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal stated that during the war no arms exports can take place , manufactured by Ukrainian private manufacturers. He emphasized that the priority now is to replenish the Ukrainian armed forces.

Shmyhal noted that the Ukrainian government is looking for additional funds to"order everything that can be produced in the state." He added that during the war there can only be individual partnership projects.
