Gunfire rang out at dawn on Monday, July 28, in Cinecittà Est, in the Tuscolano neighborhood of Rome. Residents of Via Libero Leonardi were awakened by gunshots that resulted in the injury of a man, a foreign citizen, in what appears to be a settling of scores.

Carabinieri from the Appia station and the Mobile Radio Unit responded to the scene. They found shell casings and traces of blood on the asphalt. According to testimonies gathered by investigators, the victim was seen wounded on the ground and then carried by two people into a car that quickly drove away from the scene of the firefight.

The Carabinieri quickly identified the man who, shortly after the incident, presented himself to the emergency room of the Policlinico Casilino with non-serious injuries. The officers carried out surveys in the parking lot where the shooting occurred, and the investigation has been entrusted to investigators from the Casilina Company. No leads have been ruled out at this time.
