Trump's Tomahawk Missile Strategy and Negotiations

This was stated by US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing La Repubblica.

According to him, the possibility of Russian territory being hit by Tomahawk missiles, as well as many other things, could change Putin's plans for the war in Ukraine.

"A long-range strike could change Putin's plans and threaten many things, including critical energy infrastructure in Russia," Whitaker said.

The ambassador also noted that at the moment the Russians are probably not ready to give up their maximalist goals, but things could change.

"We will see if actions such as blocking the 'shadow fleet', supplying the Tomahawks and other ways to put pressure on Vladimir Putin will force Russia to negotiate peace. If anyone can do that, it is President Trump," said the US ambassador to NATO.

Mr. Whitaker also noted that the war and the killings must end, and for this, both sides must sit at the negotiating table.

Tomahawk supply to Ukraine

We remind you that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington on October 17. The parties will also discuss the possible supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.

Talk of a possible Tomahawk supply to Ukraine began last month after Zelensky's trip to New York.

Trump has not given any specific answers for a long time regarding the supply of Tomahawks to Kyiv, but yesterday he stated that he was ready to take such a step, but would first talk to Putin.

Russia has reacted to the possible supply of long-range missiles to Ukraine - Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin threatened the United States with a"deterioration of relations" and announced the strengthening of Russia's air defenses.

At the same time, he called Zelensky's threats to strike the Kremlin with Tomahawk missiles"blackmail and arrogance."
