Trump-Putin Meeting Plans and Logistics

Trump-Zelensky White House Meeting

Speaking at the meeting, Trump said,"We want to end the war, many people died. President Zelenskyy of Ukraine suffered a lot. And to be honest, we went through these hardships with him."

Sharing details of his Washington visit on social media, Zelenskyy said,"I will hold meetings with representatives of defense companies, namely manufacturers of powerful weapons that can definitely strengthen our defenses. In particular, we will discuss the additional procurement of additional air defense systems. I will also meet with representatives of American energy companies. While Russia is terrorizing our energy sector and launching daily attacks, we are working to ensure Ukraine's resilience."

Zelenskyy Arrived in a Special Costume

US President Trump told Zelenskyy,"I really like your jacket. I think he looks very good in it."

"I WANT TO END THE WAR"

US President Donald Trump said,"I don't care about the Nobel Peace Prize, I want to end the war. The Russo-Ukrainian War will be the 9th war I will stop."

"TRUMP HAS A VERY HIGH CHANCE OF ENDING THIS WAR"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said,"US President Donald Trump has a very good chance of ending this war. Trump has shown us and the whole world that peace can be achieved in the Middle East. I hope peace can be achieved for Ukraine as well."

US President Donald Trump responded to a question about the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine by saying,"We will discuss this issue today." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said,"We can provide drones to the US in exchange for the Tomahawks."

SPAIN SHOULD BE PUNISHED

US President Donald Trump said regarding defense spending,"Spain has not been loyal to NATO. I think Spain should be punished, but that is between NATO and Spain."

TOMAHAWK MISSILES ON THE TABLE

Zelenskyy, who stated that he would meet with Trump, said,"We hope that the momentum to prevent terrorism and war that has been successful in the Middle East will help end Russia's war against Ukraine. Putin is no braver than other terrorists. The language of force and justice will inevitably work against Russia. We can already see that Moscow is rushing to resume dialogue as soon as it hears about the Tomahawk missiles."

Zelenskyy said there should be no alternative to peace and guaranteed security, adding,"It is very important to protect people from Russian attacks as quickly as possible. I thank everyone who helped."

ABOUT TOMAHAWK

Design began in the early 1970s for the Tomahawk cruise missile, a long-range, high-precision weapon system capable of being launched from air, land, and sea platforms. Capable of being equipped with conventional and nuclear warheads, the Tomahawk became a key element of the US's strategic offensive capability upon entering service in the early 1980s. Since its first deployment in the 1991 Gulf War, it has been used in nearly every war and operation initiated or directly involved by the US.

Flying at high subsonic speeds, one of the Tomahawk's most important features is its ability to approach its target at very low altitude, following the contours of the ground, making it difficult for enemy air defense systems to detect and track it. The missile processes 3D terrain data loaded into its guidance and control computer with a navigation system called"Terrain Contour Matching" (TERCOM) to automatically determine a flight path appropriate to the terrain profile. Following the route, which is followed with sub-meter precision using the GPS global positioning system, the target is identified by analyzing visual data previously uploaded to the database. The system, called"Digital Scene Matching Area Correlation" (DSMAC), compares photographs of the target's location with images obtained by the missile's sensors. This allows for centimeter-level precision in the target.

The Tomahawk, which has variants capable of being launched from bombers, submarines, destroyers, and land vehicles, has undergone continuous modernization since its entry into service, with updates to its guidance and control system, engine, electronics, and software components. While there is no reliable open-source data on the range of the missile, which carries a 450kg conventional warhead, it is known to have a range of up to 2,500km, depending on the model.
