US President Donald Trump posted a screenshot of a message from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on the social network"Truth Social". In it, the alliance leader congratulates him for"decisive action" in Iran and for getting all NATO allies to agree to allocate at least 5 percent of their gross domestic product (GDP) to defense, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"I congratulate you and thank you for the decisive action in Iran, which was truly exceptional and something that no one else dared to do. This makes us all safer," said the message sent by Rutte.
NATO officials confirmed that the message was sent by Rutte to Trump earlier today as the US president headed to The Hague for the NATO summit.
