The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement received by Sumaria News,"Al-Sudani held telephone talks with the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Vladimir Putin, which addressed the latest developments in the regional and international situation," stressing that "the Prime Minister reiterated Iraq's clear rejection of the Zionist aggression against Iran and the dangerous escalation represented by the American bombing of nuclear facilities."

He continued,"Putin praised the efforts of the Iraqi government, which is working to prevent the war from expanding, and expressed his rejection of any infringement on Iraq's airspace and sovereignty." He pointed out that "the discussions reviewed the ongoing war of genocide in the Gaza Strip, which requires effective international intervention to stop the Palestinian bloodshed."

He added,"Al-Sudani condemned the violation of Iraqi airspace by American and Zionist aircraft," noting "the necessity of supporting Iraq's steps to prevent the violation of its sovereignty and for the UN Security Council to assume its essential role in stopping the war."

For his part, the Russian President congratulated the Prime Minister on Iraq's success in hosting the Arab Summit and confirmed his invitation to Iraq to participate in the Russian-Arab Summit, which will be held on October 15.
