At least ten people have been killed in new Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, according to information from the Palestinian territory.
Israel urges residents in parts of Khan Yunis to leave their homes.
Fourteen people – most of them women and children – have been killed in one of the attacks reported by Palestinian sources. The attack targeted a residential building in Jabalia, north of Gaza City, and remains were taken to two hospitals, which confirmed the death toll to international media.
"14 martyrs, including six children and three women, and more than 20 missing people who remain under the rubble," writes Gaza Civil Defense Authority spokesman Mahmud Basal on social media.
Hospitals report a slightly higher proportion of children and women among the victims.
The Civil Defense spokesman reports another attack, targeting a building in an area on the southern outskirts of Gaza City. He writes that five people have been killed and that additional people are missing there as well.
On Monday evening, Israel urged residents of the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis to evacuate. The reason, according to the Israeli military (IDF), was that the terrorist group Hamas was active in the area.
“The IDF will carry out operations with great force in areas where you are,” military spokesman Avichay Adraee urged, saying that areas west of al-Mawasi were safe. He added that al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis was not part of the Israeli military plans.
During the war, more than 54,400 people have been killed so far, according to the Palestinian health ministry's ongoing tally.
