Washington. The White House described the Israeli attack in Qatar as an"unfortunate incident" that does not help peace in the region.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt assured reporters that the United States had advance warning of the Israeli attack, and in response, Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff issued a warning to the Qataris.

President Donald Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the attack, Leavitt confirmed, and"made his thoughts and concerns very clear." The president maintained that the attack was an "unfortunate incident" that did not promote peace in the region.
