FBI Director: Robinson's DNA was found on the towel wrapping the rifle and on a screwdriver on the campus roof. He wrote,"I have the opportunity to kill Kirk, and I will take it." Vice President Vance will host the activist's podcast.

Tyler Robinson has not confessed to killing Charlie Kirk. Utah's Republican governor, Spencer Cox, confirmed this, thus denying press reports that the alleged assassin had admitted to shooting the Trump-supporting political activist.

Robinson has not confessed and is not cooperating with authorities, Cox told Abc, unlike everyone close to him, which I think is very important. New evidence, however, places 22-year-old Robinson at the crime scene.

FBI Director Kash Patel said investigators recovered Tyler Robinson's DNA on a towel used to wrap the .30-06 Mauser rifle, found in the woods 60 kilometers from Salt Lake City, used to kill Kirk. The 22-year-old's DNA, Patel said in an interview with Fox News, was also found on a screwdriver on the roof of the building on the University of Utah campus from where the fatal shot was fired. I can report today that DNA analysis on the towel wrapped around the firearm and on the screwdriver have been positive for compatibility with the arrested suspect, Patel said, while the DNA found on the weapon has not yet been analyzed. In an interview with Fox News, the FBI director revealed that Robinson, before the attack on Wednesday, had written that he had the opportunity to eliminate Kirk and would seize it. It was said to be a note or a text message exchange that was later destroyed but later recovered by investigators. His family confirmed to the authorities his left-wing ideology, Patel concluded, without sharing the full text of the incriminating messages.

Vance: I'll be hosting the Charlie Kirk Show

Tomorrow (today, Monday, September 15th, ed.) I will have the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show. Please join me in paying tribute to my friend. This message was written by Vice President of the United States J.D. Vance, who has temporarily taken over the podcast from the slain 31-year-old activist."The last few days have been extremely difficult for our country. He was a key part of Donald Trump's election as president," Vance said at the opening of the podcast,"and my election as vice president, and much of our success over the last seven months is due to his efforts—his staffing, his support, and his friendship. I don't think I'm alone in saying that Charlie was the smartest political operator I've ever known."

The vice president also recounted his meeting with his widow, Erika Kirk: When I met her, I was speechless and had no idea what to say. I didn't try to console her, because how can you console someone who has just lost a loving husband and father? But we simply talked about Charlie. We talked about who he was, some of our favorite memories. We talked about his idiosyncrasies and all the things that made Charlie Kirk who he was.
