In the post-Halloween horrors in Huntingdon, England, passengers on a train were reportedly covered in blood, screaming for help and fleeing in panic. Witnesses described how a wounded man, shouting,"Run, everyone's getting stabbed!", instigated the chaos on the train.

Britain Transport Police (BTP) reported that the knife attack on a train in Huntingdon last night was not linked to terrorism and that two of the nine people seriously injured were still in critical condition.

BTP Chief Superintendent John Loveless made a press statement in front of Huntingdon train station regarding the incident that occurred last night.

Loveless stated that the report about the attack in which many people were stabbed on a train was received at 19.42 last night (22.42 Turkish time), and that armed police and an ambulance arrived at the scene within eight minutes.

Loveless, who stated that they detained two people who carried out the attack on the train from Doncaster to London, said,"A 32-year-old British citizen black man and a 35-year-old British citizen of Caribbean origin were detained on suspicion of attempted murder. Both British-born suspects remain in custody at different police stations and are being questioned."

Loveless said that nine of the 10 people injured in the attack were treated in hospitals in serious condition last night, and four of them were discharged.

Loveless, noting that the lives of two people still receiving treatment are in critical condition, said,"At this stage, we do not believe this was a terrorist attack. Our investigation is ongoing to quickly determine the motivation of the attackers."

Loveless reported that train services, which were suspended last night, have resumed, but will not be stopping in Huntingdon at this stage.

Following the attack, King Charles III, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Home Minister Shabana Mahmood and numerous government officials, political party representatives and civil society organisations issued statements of condolences.

EYEWITNESSES TELL: RUN, HE IS STABBING EVERYONE

An eyewitness on the train described a wounded man running towards him, shouting,"Someone's attacking with a knife!"

A man named Wren Chambers told the BBC: “Everyone on the train was crammed forward. We were all huddled together.”

Another eyewitness, who was on the train at the time of the incident, said passengers were in “complete panic” and the bloodied victims were screaming for help.

Olly Foster told the BBC that he heard people shouting"Run, run, the man is stabbing everyone!" and thought it might be a post-Halloween prank.
