Pro-Houthi/Sympathetic Perspective

Sanaa – They threaten the global economy and wage war against Israel, 1,000 kilometers away – now the Jewish state has responded with a massive blow against the radical Islamist Houthi terrorists in Yemen!

▶︎ An Israeli airstrike on Thursday killed the head of the Houthi militia and several ministers. The Houthis themselves confirmed this, after Israeli media had only speculated about the success of their military operation, but assumed that more than 10 ministers had been hit.

The organization appointed al-Rahaui as head of the internationally unrecognized "government" a year ago. The true leader of the militia remains Abdel Malik al-Houthi, whose brother founded the Iranian-backed Shiite terrorist organization some 30 years ago. He was not the target of the Israeli attack.

The attack targeted a gathering of many high-ranking figures in the militia. Ahmed al-Rahaui and the ministers were killed in the capital, Sanaa, the Iran-backed organization said.

In doing so, Israel achieved what a US-British coalition (with the help of countries such as Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and Denmark) failed to do between January 2024 and May 2025: to hit the Houthis hard. After months of attacks, US President Donald Trump finally announced a ceasefire with them.

Israel attacked the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Thursday. According to the Israeli Air Force, it attacked a"military target of the Houthi terrorist regime" in the Sanaa area.

The Houthis have repeatedly attacked international merchant ships since the start of the Gaza war almost two years ago. They also began launching rocket and drone attacks against Israel in November 2023, a month after the October 7 Hamas massacre in southern Israel. Israel has responded 15 times with rather sporadic attacks on Houthi targets. The latest attack is likely to significantly impair the Houthis' ability to attack Israel.

The Houthis officially call themselves"Ansar Allah" ("Supporters of God") and, according to experts, are the strongest force in Yemen, where civil war and famine have raged since 2014. They have established a theocracy in their occupied territories. Their battle cry:"Death to America, death to Israel, and a curse on the Jews."
