Sergey Lavrov also responded to the European leaders' demand for a ceasefire, the Polish Foreign Minister's statement regarding Putin's flight, and the press report regarding the expected postponement of the Trump-Putin meeting at his press conference in Ethiopia on Tuesday.

He played the Nazi card on the ceasefire demand. He said that an immediate ceasefire along the front lines, as urged by European leaders and Volodymyr Zelensky, would result in large parts of Ukraine remaining under “Nazi control.”

He accused Poland of being open to terrorism because of Radosław Sikorski's statement. According to him, when the Polish Foreign Minister said that he could not guarantee that the Russian president would not be handed over to the International Criminal Court if he flew into Polish airspace, he indicated that Poland would be willing to carry out terrorist acts.

He also called a CNN report about his planned meeting with Marco Rubio being postponed untrue. He said he was surprised to read that the Trump-Putin meeting might be postponed after his phone call with Rubio left U.S. officials feeling that the Russian position had not changed enough to go beyond the maximalist stance. He said the abuses of Western media outlets are well-known, and the phenomenon can be observed at CNN as well. (via tass.com)
