The First Chamber of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) will hold this Wednesday, 3, the third trial session of the criminal action against former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and seven other defendants for attempted coup d'état after the 2022 elections.

On this second day of analysis of the case, the defenses of General Augusto Heleno, former President Bolsonaro, General Paulo Sérgio Nogueira and General Walter Braga Netto, in that order, are presented.

In total, eight sessions were reserved for the justices to judge the case, which became a criminal action in March, after the panel voted to accept the complaint from the Attorney General's Office (PGR). Next week, the sessions are reserved for votes by the justices of the First Chamber, and the result of the trial is expected to be announced on the 12th.

Bolsonaro and the other defendants are charged with armed criminal organization, coup d'état, attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, deterioration of listed heritage and qualified damage to federal property.
