Trump's Role in the Ceasefire

247 – After almost two weeks of clashes, Iran announced on Tuesday (24) the end of the conflict with Israel. In a statement released by the Iranian state press, President Masoud Pezeshkian classified the outcome as a “great victory” for the country and stated that the war was “imposed on Iran by Israel’s adventurism”.

The announcement came just hours after a ceasefire brokered with support from Qatar and announced by the United States the night before came into effect. However, in the early hours of the truce, signs of new attacks in Tehran and exchanges of accusations between the two sides raised doubts about the agreement. Also on Monday (23), the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that Iran “is not a nation that surrenders”, in reference to the Israeli and American attacks.

Even with the end of the conflict, Iran's airspace remains officially closed, although some international flights are operating in Tehran with special permits. (With agencies).
