National coach Nabil Baha, coach of the Moroccan national team under 17 years old, confirmed today, Thursday, in Doha, the readiness of his players to play the anticipated match against their Brazilian counterparts, in the quarter-finals of the World Cup for the same category, which will take place tomorrow, Friday, at stadium number 7 in the Aspire area in Doha (starting at 4:45 pm Moroccan time).

During media statements on the sidelines of the training session for the “Atlas Lions,” which was held at Stadium No. 2 in the Al-Thumama complex, Baha explained that “the national team is eager to deliver a strong performance against the Brazilian national team, and to advance to the semi-finals to confirm its presence in this global competition.”

The national coach commented on the absence of some key players, such as the suspended player Elias El-Haidaoui, noting that “the bench is full of players capable of compensating for any absence, whether it is due to injury or suspension.”

Baha added: “We are prepared to deal with any eventuality; we have prepared for many possible scenarios, and we know very well the requirements of facing a strong opponent like Brazil.”

The national coach confirmed that the players have begun to adapt significantly to the pace of the matches in the tournament, despite the short interval between matches, highlighting that “the group has grown in confidence after each match, and they are eager to present a respectable image and achieve a positive result.”

Baha also congratulated all the Moroccans who won awards yesterday, especially Achraf Hakimi, who won the African Player of the Year award for 2025, stressing that these awards highlight the brilliance of Moroccan football on the world stage.
