Chief Advisor to the President, Hamdi Kılıç, who served on President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's writing team since 2007, passed away due to the illness he was receiving treatment for.
Kılıç's funeral prayer will be held at Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque after the afternoon prayer today, and he will be buried in Gölbaşı Cemetery.
President Erdoğan also attended the funeral ceremony of Hamdi Kılıç, who passed away.

Speaking at the funeral ceremony, President Erdoğan made the following statement:
Our brother Hamdi was tested with a serious illness. May God change his shortcomings into good deeds and grant him the honor of Paradise and His beauty. Our brother Hamdi was a powerful pen, a powerful mind, a man of ideas. And as a colleague of ours, he never neglected his work or let his work go unfinished.
During this entire period, including his illness, I never witnessed him neglecting his work. Until the last moment... Especially when I learned the part in his will, I truly prayed to God as follows:
“Oh Lord, grant us the honor of Your Paradise, Your beauty, and Your beloved Habib under the banner of His name, Livayul-Hamd.”
And may God bless all my brothers and sisters who are participating in this funeral prayer right now. May God grant us the reunion of the two of us, God willing. And let us all recite a Fatiha here again for their blessed souls.
