The one-off credit is part of the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (Sara) initiative.

It can be used at over 4,100 participating stores nationwide until the end of the year.

Anwar on Wednesday (Jul. 23) also announced an additional public holiday on Sep. 15  in conjunction with the 2025 Malaysia Day celebration.

He also announced that the price of RON95 petrol will be reduced to RM1.99 per litre when fuel subsidies are rationalised., New Straits Times reported.

He said that this is an"extraordinary tribute" to Malaysians.
