The new strategy differs from previous administrations' approach to Russia
The Kremlin considers the change in the National Security strategy of the US President Donald Trump's administration, which no longer calls Russia a"direct threat" and even calls for cooperation with Moscow in the area of strategic stability, a positive step, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today.
- We consider this a positive step - said Peskov to TASS, commenting on the changes to the key document on the national security of the United States of America.

Russia happy about America's turnaround
According to him, the Kremlin intends to study the new strategy in more detail.
- Of course, we need to get to know and analyze it better. All in all, these messages are, of course, contrary to the approaches of the previous administrations - Peskov said.
Trump's document caused a stir in the Kremlin
The previous national security strategy, adopted under former US President Joe Biden, labeled Russia as a"threat to global order, democracy and stability".

TASS states that the Trump administration document, in addition to changing its approach to Russian-American relations, also criticizes NATO's expansion policy and states that European countries are already violating democratic norms.
