Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Russian drone and missile attacks again struck Ukraine on Wednesday evening (October 29, 2025) local time. As a result, 11 people were injured and large parts of the country experienced widespread power outages.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, said the Russian airstrikes hit residential areas.

"The number of wounded in the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia has risen to 11. Among the wounded are six children aged 3 to 6 years," Fedorov said via Telegram, as quoted by AFP, Thursday (30/10/2025).

Meanwhile, Ukraine's Energy Minister, Svitlana Grinchuk, confirmed that the attack targeted critical energy infrastructure.

"Russia has once again launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure," Grinchuk wrote on Facebook.

"As soon as possible, rescue teams and technicians will work to restore power and assess the damage," he added.

The national electricity grid operator, Ukrenergo, said emergency power outages were imposed in most regions due to severe damage to the energy system.

Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed to have shot down 170 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 48 in the Bryansk region and nine in the Moscow region.

Bilateral attacks between the two countries have escalated since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Ukraine later retaliated by targeting Russian oil refineries and energy infrastructure.
