"All the patients were pulled out in a little over an hour. We found two dead patients on the spot. They had already passed away when we arrived, unfortunately nothing could be done. As for the others, we pulled everyone out and gave them all therapy for pain and they were transferred to the hospital," Mandic told Tanjug.

He stated that at 2:45 p.m. Ambulance received a call about an accident that happened in the industrial area near Matroza.

"We immediately went to the scene and we called our duty team and the transport ambulance that were in Šašinci and Kuzmin on their regular tasks. We arrived immediately at the scene in two minutes, we were already there at 2:48 p.m. and the firefighters arrived at the same time," Mandic said.

He added that the medical teams found about 20 injured patients who managed to get out of the bus that overturned on their own.

Mandic said that some sat and moaned, some lay down, and some stood and that the medical teams sorted them according to the degree of injuries, and that the most seriously injured were pulled out with the help of firefighters and the police.

"We immediately called our reserve team from home to help, we also called the team from Ruma to help, which also arrived, we called the ambulance from the hospital, they came to help us," said Mandic.

He stated that they evacuated more than 20 seriously injured, with an even larger number of patients, between 10 and 20, being evacuated by the police, and all who were mobile the police took to the hospital for examination.

"There were really many injured people and the pressure was great, however, thanks to the cooperation of the firefighters and the police and the help from colleagues from Ruma and colleagues from the hospital, we did the best we could," said Mandic.

Two people died and around 80 were injured when a bus carrying employees of the company"Healthcare" overturned on the Sremska Mitrovica - Jarak road, the Ministry of Interior announced.

The reason for the overturning of the bus is currently unknown.

35 people were hospitalized in the hospital in Sremska Mitrovica.
